Special Collections offers a wide range of material for use in classes and seminars, giving students invaluable experience of viewing and handling original material. The following areas are particularly well covered for teaching purposes:

• We have a guide to manuscript facsimiles, medieval manuscript books and fragments with examples of a range of  scripts.
• Modern literary manuscripts
• Historical bibliography, including examples of western printing, book binding, illustration and design, and evidence of provenance from the 15th to the 21st century
• Victorian publications
