Becoming a Recognised Teaching Centre

Join a Global Network of 100+ Recognized Teaching Centres

Committed to widening global access to higher education, the àËÅöÊÓƵ (UoL) delivers a wide array of programmes, blending employment-focused programmes with in-depth studies in social sciences, humanities, and beyond, under the academic guidance of its federation members.

The àËÅöÊÓƵ places strong emphasis on providing excellent student experience. Distance learning students have access to virtual learning environments, study guides, and an online library to complete their programs, along with support from UoL's career services. To complement their studies, many students choose to enhance their learning through tutorial support at one of UoL's global Recognized Teaching Centres (RTCs).

Teaching Centre Recognition Framework

Our Teaching Centre Recognition Framework is a mechanism for formally recognising teaching centres offering support for the University’s programmes.

The prospective Recognised Teaching Centres must provide appropriate evidence to demonstrate that they meet a set of quality criteria to be granted and, subsequently, maintain Recognised Teaching Centre status. The University monitors Recognised Teaching Centres against these quality criteria on an ongoing basis.

How to Apply

The àËÅöÊÓƵ has a rigorous three-stage process to ensure that every prospective Recognised Teaching Centre meets the quality and standards of the University and its growth strategy.

Stage 1

Applications and submission of Stage 1 documentation to become a Recognised Teaching Centre are typically only processed during a specific three-month period each year. The next application window is from 1 October 2024 to 30 December 2024.

Please download the Recognised Teaching Centre Application Pack to begin your Stage 1 application.

Stage 2

Prospective Recognised Teaching Centres that meet the àËÅöÊÓƵ's Stage 1 criteria may have the opportunity to progress to Stage 2. At this stage, they will be required to submit additional information, including detailed programme academic delivery plans.

Stage 3

Once further quality assurance checks are completed, applicants may proceed to Stage 3 for formal committee approval. Upon approval, successful organisations will be notified, awarded Recognised Teaching Centre status, and provided with onboarding support.
