Learn more about how we collaborate with employers to develop the career readiness of our students and recent graduates, connecting them with opportunities both during and after their studies.

The àËÅöÊÓƵ Careers Service works with employers and professional bodies worldwide who wish to connect with our students and recent graduates.

Our Students and Recent Graduates

With 40,000 students across 190+ countries, our diverse cohort brings a wealth of experience, interdisciplinary thinking, and advanced digital skills developed through our online, flexible and distance learning programmes.

Our students earn their àËÅöÊÓƵ degrees with academic direction from federation members including Birkbeck, City St George’s, Goldsmiths, King’s College àËÅöÊÓƵ, àËÅöÊÓƵ School of Economics (LSE), àËÅöÊÓƵ School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Queen Mary, and University College àËÅöÊÓƵ (UCL).

Unlike many universities, our students include Career Starters, Career Developers, and Career Changers. They range from those launching their careers to experienced professionals seeking promotions or career pivots. This diversity of location and experience makes them eligible for global opportunities, from internships to graduate roles and experienced hire positions. Additionally, we support our graduates for up to two years post-graduation.

Online Panel Discussions

Share your career journey and highlight your employer brand in our one-hour online panel discussions. These events give students and graduates valuable insight into career paths across various sectors. Our panels typically feature employers, professional associations and àËÅöÊÓƵ alumni who share their career experiences and discuss industry trends.

This is a great opportunity to engage directly with students interested in the opportunities in your organisation or sector.

Webinars and Online Workshops

We are seeking employers and alumni interested in co-delivering webinars and interactive workshops tailored to specific audiences. Whether adapting existing content or co-creating new topics, these sessions provide an engaging platform to enhance your brand with our diverse student body. We can arrange these events with just a few weeks' notice.

On-Demand Content

Many of our students balance work, study, and other commitments, making it difficult to attend live events. This is why we offer on-demand careers content.

We actively seek to collaborate with employers to develop asynchronous work-based learning tasks and create content including ‘talking head’ videos, audio notes, and blog posts and particularly welcome think pieces and case studies on industry trends and employability topics which we feature on our Virtual Learning Environment and page.

Our podcast, , offers in-depth conversations on career journeys and sector insights with guests from our alumni and employer network.

Labour Market Intelligence

As the global labour market constantly evolves, we work with employers to gather the latest insights on industry and recruitment trends to ensure our students, graduates, careers service team and academic colleagues stay informed.

Whether it is understanding your hiring strategies, future work trends or the key qualities you seek in candidates we are eager to learn from your expertise and work together to address your labour market challenges.
