The Institute in Paris is an integral part of the àËÅöÊÓƵ situated in the heart of Paris.

Our mission

As the first British institute on continental Europe, our mission is to connect the UK with the Francophone world by providing a hub for fruitful academic exchange and enabling our students to gain invaluable international experience.

Originally known as the Franco-British Guild, the Institute is dedicated to promoting the study of language and cultural understanding and offers interdisciplinary undergraduate programmes in the fields of French Studies and International Politics. It also runs a postgraduate programme in Urban History and Culture with an option of a term at Queen Mary University in àËÅöÊÓƵ. Additionally, it hosts one postgraduate Queen Mary àËÅöÊÓƵ programme in Paris in law.

Currently, in a newly defined Europe, the àËÅöÊÓƵ Institute in Paris continues its work as a bridge between British and French academic communities, as well as reaching out into wider Europe and beyond.  It has strategic partnerships with Queen Mary àËÅöÊÓƵ, King’s College àËÅöÊÓƵ and Goldsmiths, àËÅöÊÓƵ, as well as with HESAM University in Paris and Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. In addition, the institute works closely with the British Council France on policy dialogues and other initiatives.

The àËÅöÊÓƵ Institute in Paris is the UK's leading institute in France and works in partnership with Queen Mary àËÅöÊÓƵ to offer outstanding courses in French Studies, International Relations and Law.

The Institute is a central academic body of the àËÅöÊÓƵ, one of the oldest, largest and most diverse universities in the UK. Established by Royal Charter in 1836, the University is recognised globally as a world leader in Higher Education.

The federal University comprises 17 independent federation members of outstanding global reputation, together with a number of prestigious central academic bodies and activities, including the , Senate House Library and the Careers Group.
