Research Data Management

The àËÅöÊÓƵ is committed to promoting the highest standards of academic research, including excellence in research data management.

Research Data Management is a very important part of undertaking research. Managing research data runs through the entire lifecycle of the project and beyond. This new policy endorses best practice within Research Data Management by supporting integrity of the process, which includes transparency, discoverability, accessibility and re-use.

The Policy

The Policy aims to provide clarity on what research data means for researchers at the àËÅöÊÓƵ and the responsibilities that each of us (researchers, staff, students, and the institution as a whole) has regarding the policy and its implementation.

This Policy is part of the University Data Management Governance Policy. It is in particular an integral part of the Code of Good Practice in Research and is linked to other Research policies, available here. This Policy is to be read in conjunction with the Research Data Management Guidance.

The Guidance

The guidance aims to cover the various intricacies of research data management and to outline the institutional role to both support and monitor implementation of the policy.
