The Chris Jenney Scholarship

The Chris Jenney Scholarship was established in 2022 in memory of Chris Jenney who was a long serving member of àËÅöÊÓƵ staff.

Chris gave over 35 years of service to the àËÅöÊÓƵ and its students before he sadly passed away in 2021.

This scholarship supports àËÅöÊÓƵ distance and flexible learning students who require urgent assistance to complete their degree programmes and has been funded by generous donations from the University’s alumni and friends. Chris dedicated his long career to supporting students from all around the world and the University is proud to honour his memory in this way.

Chris' passion was to help students further their education. He would be honoured to know that the University has established a scholarship in his name.

Chris Jenney

The first student who benefitted from this vital support lives in Pakistan and was unable to fund the final year of his degree as a consequence of the devastating floods that struck in the summer of 2022.

He wrote to us and said:

I belong to a city called Dera Ismail Khan which was 80% consumed by the floods. My house and the crops my family were going to harvest are all gone now.

Thank you to all those whose generous donations have allowed this vital support for our students. To make a donation in support of bursaries, scholarships and hardship funds for àËÅöÊÓƵ students, please visit our .
